Parade of Frights tomorrow

The Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce extends a warm invitation to the entire community for the much-anticipated 30th Annual Parade of Frights, set to bewitch attendees from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. tomorrow. This spine-tingling spectacle, hosted at the Canyon Lake Town Center, guarantees an afternoon of family-friendly Halloween merriment.

Ghouls, goblins, and little monsters of all ages are encouraged to don their most creative costumes and walk the Town Center to trick or treat at all the dozens of participating businesses. Treasure Maps are to be picked up at the Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce booth to take on the trick or treating trek where kids will not only receive candy, but stamps for the map. Completed maps are then turned in at the Chamber Booth by 11:30 a.m. for a chance at winning several raffle prizes.

Youngsters with a penchant for sweet treats and candy treasures will revel in the festive trick-or-treating opportunities provided. With local businesses and vendors participating, the candy haul promises to be a memorable one.

Then, with bags full of candy, it will be time for games and contests, including a chance to shine in the costume parade contest. At 11:30 a.m., the ghostly thrills will reach a crescendo as the costumed revelers take to the parking lot for the costume parade. Spectators can expect a spooktacular display of creativity and craftsmanship.

With multiple categories to compete in, it’s a frightfully fun opportunity for participants to showcase their Halloween spirit. Contestants will vie for coveted titles and impressive prizes with contest categories split up into four age categories, 0-1, 2-5, 6-7 and 8-9. A Family Ensemble category will also be judged.

For those with a taste for carnival excitement, the event offers a medley of classic games, ensuring that fun and frights go hand in hand. From ring toss to bean bag toss, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

For the first time ever, the Parade of Frights will include a Dog Costume Contest.

The Sports Stop will have a food booth at the Parade of Frights and will serve up Breakfast Burritos and Pancakes for purchase.

Gather your friends, family, and neighbors for a day of spook-tacular delights at the 30th Annual Parade of Frights, courtesy of the Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce. Don’t miss this opportunity to revel in the Halloween season in a safe and family-friendly environment.
