Music, games, beer at Rocktoberfest tomorrow

The annual adult party of parties takes place tomorrow at Holiday Harbor Park. The Canyon Lake Jr. Women’s Club will be hosting its 9th Annual Rocktoberfest which will feature rocking music, games and beer tasting from a variety of local breweries. The fun begins at noon and ends at 5:00 p.m.

The featured rock bands will be Black Rock Candy and Buckle Up, which will be playing throughout the afternoon. Local craft microbreweries, merchandise vendors, food vendors, games, and Weiner dog races will keep everybody fed and entertained.

Added this year is a costume contest. Attendees are encouraged to dress up as their favorite rock star. The contest entrants will then strut their stuff on the Ocktoberfest stage and compete for the title of Rocktoberfest’s Best Dressed. The winner will receive an incredible prize package and bragging rights as the most stylish rocker in town.

The event is free, but beer tastings require tickets. Two tastings per brewery. General admission tickets cost Pre-Sale $25, Day-Of $35 and VIP Admission is Pre-Sale $50 and Day-Of $60. VIP Admission comes with the perks of front-of-the-line access at the ID line, swag bags, and preferred seating.

The participating local breweries include Belching Beaver, BJ Brewery, Lazy Dog Restaurant and Bar, Mash Masters, Stadium Pizza and The Bruery & Offshoot Beer Co.

The proceeds from the event will again be earmarked for community philanthropic endeavors of the Canyon Lake Jr. Women’s Club.
