Attendees will indulge in a scrumptious lunch featuring an assortment of finger sandwiches, scones, and delectable desserts, along with a wide selection of tea, champagne, wine, and seltzers.

While donning mermaid costumes is not mandatory, the organizers encourage guests to embrace the whimsical theme and dress up as mystical sea creatures to add to the fun and festivity. There is no limit to the creativity members and their guests can create.

The third annual Afternoon Tea promises to be an unforgettable event, featuring surprises and entertainment that will captivate the hearts of all attendees. The Mermaids of Canyon Lake Club is more than just a gathering of “mermaids” – it is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization driven by a shared passion for everything related to Canyon Lake. The group stands strong on its core principles of volunteerism, community, and sisterhood.

The proceeds from its fundraising efforts, such as this Mermaids Afternoon Tea, are dedicated to supporting noteworthy causes such as Alternatives to Domestic Violence and Trauma Recovery Center, Canyon Lake Fire Department, and the Helping Hands Group, in addition to other philanthropic organizations.

Distinguished by its innovative approach, the Mermaids of Canyon Lake hold some of their meetings in the evening, catering to a diverse range of age groups within the organization. Moreover, the group has a unique policy that allows members to contribute their volunteer hours from other organizations that members belong to in Canyon Lake.

If Mermaids do not have time to volunteer as much time as they hoped, then there are other ways to secure the recommended volunteer hours.  Mermaids‘ causes foster a united community of women dedicated to helping others.

The group meets on a quarterly basis, rather than monthly, recognizing the importance of balancing family commitments with a heartfelt dedication to community service. This approach has been received with much appreciation and love from its members, who cherish the opportunities to make a positive impact while cherishing precious moments with their families.
