Audience captivated by Santana tribute concert

The Canyon Lake Fine Arts Guild’s concert Saturday was outstanding. The sold-out concert’s audience members were found singing along with America‘s number one Santana tribute band, Smooth Sounds of Santana at the concert in the Holiday Bay Room at the Canyon Lake Lodge.

The enthusiastic crowd gathered to witness the band‘s performance of beloved Santana fan favorites, including “Black Magic Woman,” “Oye Como Va,” “Evil Ways,” and an array of other hits. The crowd yelled and cheered and the concert goers jumped up when certain familiar songs started playing. Guests had a hard time staying in their seats, as the beat and familiar melodies captured the crowd.

The talented musicians skillfully captured the multicultural essence and spirit that have solidified Santana as a rock radio icon for decades. With every note played, the audience was transported back in time, reminiscing about the good old days.

The guitars‘ resonating tones, the enchanting sounds of the keyboard, and the captivating Latin percussion all contributed to an authentic retrospective-style show, epitomizing the iconic Santana sound. This top band was enthusiastic and engaged the audience as it entertained.

For Santana enthusiasts, this concert was an unforgettable treat. Smooth Sounds of Santana not only offered a spot-on resemblance to the legendary band, but also delivered an unmatched feeling of being at a genuine Santana concert. Many of the songs in their setlist were instantly recognizable and likely held a special place in the hearts of many in the audience.

The founder of Smooth Sounds, Gary Albano, had a clear mission: to faithfully recreate the music of one of the greatest guitar players in history, Carlos Santana. It truly felt like the legend was actually on stage as the guitarist played the intricate guitar solos of the great Santana.

With the passion and dedication of the seven gifted musicians in the band, this mission came to life on stage. They poured their hearts and souls into their performance, leaving no room for doubt that they were giving it their all.

As the night unfolded, Smooth Sounds of Santana wowed the crowd, leaving a lasting impression with their impeccable musicianship and infectious energy. The Canyon Lake Guild outdid themselves. The Holiday Bay Room was packed and the energy was invigorating.

The Guild will be hosting its Harbor Fest at Holiday Harbor on Sept. 23. This will be a day of fun-filled activities including the Guild’s free concert at the park’s amphitheater. The Guild will be giving back to the Canyon Lake community with two very popular tribute bands as the main entertainment. Save the date, this will be fun for the entire family.
