Java Jazz Maui highlight of Burns trip

Bob and Michelle Burns recently took the Friday Flyer back to Maui, their favorite Hawaiian island.  One of their favorite places to go when on the island is the Java Jazz Bar and Grill, a local secret that is tucked away in Honokawai (just a couple miles north of Kaanapali Beach). They said they love it for the great food and entertainment and a place where they can escape the high tourist prices. They’ve come to know the owner, Farzad, who plays classical guitar. Farzad has made several albums, which he sells on his Java Jazz website, with all of the proceeds going to bring a disabled veteran and his family over to Hawaii each year for a vacation.
