Wayne Perry Sands, July 20, 1926 – June 25, 2023

Wayne was one of three children born to his parents Edna Mae and Sinnet Sands. He met his wife Ermoline when they were both 18 years old. They fell in love and married Feb. 22, 1945. On Feb. 22, 2020 they celebrated their 75th anniversary and then Ermoline passed away on Oct. 6, 2020.

The couple started their life together in Porterville, CA and then moved to Long Beach in 1953. Wayne worked as a salesman in the oil tool industry before going to work for his son in the motorcycle industry until his retirement.

Wayne and Ermoline (Sandy) built a home in Canyon Lake and moved permanently there after their retirement. They were involved in Canyon Lake community clubs and enjoyed the golf course. Their boys and their families came to stay at the house and enjoyed all the activities that Canyon Lake had to offer. Wayne and Sandy were the ultimate hosts.

Wayne was an amazing man who always had a smile on his face and lived life to the fullest. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Wayne is survived by his two sons, Perry Sands and Theodore Sands, their spouses Nancy Sands and Frannie Sands, four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Burial will be at Riverside National Cemetery on July 19 with a private celebration of life following.
