CL grad student earns NYU MBA

Steven Flores

Steven Flores, a Canyon Lake Temescal Canyon High School graduate, received his Masters of Business Administration from New York University’s Stern School of Business last month. The son of Canyon Lake parents Glenn and Mia Flores, Steven received his diploma during a ceremony at Madison Square Garden after a commencement celebration at Yankee Stadium.

“Another surprise and treat for us was Steven’s photo appearing in the graduation program,” Mia said. “Glenn, Steven’s sister Staci and I attended the graduation in New York, while his other sister Stephanie, Steven‘s soon-to-be Godson Nicholas and Grandmother Frances cheered Steven on from Canyon Lake while streaming Steven‘s graduation live.”

Steven’s degree is a Tech MBA. While at the business school, he was involved in OutClass – VP of Careers & Conferences, Management Consulting Association, Private Equity & Venture Capital Club, Stern Adventures and Stern Cellar – AVP of Resource.

Steven received his undergraduate degree from the University of California San Diego after attending Riverside Community College. He graduated from Temescal Canyon High School in his junior year by passing the State of California proficiency exam.

Steven is now a Graduate Ambassador serving and welcoming new perspectives and incoming students like he had been just the previous year as his program was an accelerated one-year program. The Flores family moved to Canyon Lake in December of 1993.
