$40,000 given in donations, scholarships

The Canyon Lake Woman’s Club finished the year with a bang. It handed out $40,000 in scholarships and philanthropic donations at its final meeting of its fiscal year.

The busy meeting also included outgoing president Shawna Bowen passing the reins to new president Samantha Gorrell, as well as the new board being installed. The past presidents and current board members were recognized and honored for their hard work.

The Canyon Lake Woman‘s Club gave out checks to the following philanthropic organizations: Canyon Lake Library, C.L.E.A.R., Canyon Lake Emergency Preparedness, Canyon Lake Family Matters Club, Helping Hands, Canyon Lake Senior Center, 4 Paws 4 Patriots, Options For Autism, Blue Belles, Canyon Lake Little League and the Canyon Lake Community Theater.
