Family Matters Club resumes its monthly meetings, activities

The Canyon Lake Family Matters Club is resuming its monthly meetings on Sunday after a hiatus due to COVID-19. These meetings are designed for the entire family to enjoy.

The club will commence with a quick update on its current and upcoming activities, followed by a family-oriented event. For this month, participants will have the opportunity to create bug jars to take home.

“The club eagerly anticipates reuniting with everyone and kindly invites them to join us this Sunday,” club founder Shawna Bowen said. “Please let the club know how many in your family will be attending.”

The monthly meetings will revolve around a specific theme and feature crafts or activities suitable for families. In line with this, Sunday’s gathering will center around a bug keeper craft, promising a delightful time for all. The meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m. with social time. Meeting and club updates will take place at 1:30 p.m. and the craft and activity time will begin at 2:00 p.m.

To help ensure a sufficient amount of materials will be available, Shawna said the club would greatly appreciate it if attendees could RSVP through the club‘s Facebook event page or by sending an email.

If anyone would like to contribute by helping with the meetings or the craft sessions, please reach out to the club via email at info@familymattersclub.org.
