City holding annual clean-up tomorrow

Getting rid of all the junk around the house and garage has never been easier…or cheaper. The City of Canyon Lake is hosting a Community Clean-Up Event tomorrow where residents can, without charge, drop off furniture, yard waste, large appliances and E-Waste at the Canyon Lake Community Church parking lot.

This annual event will take place from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. and is for Canyon Lake residents only. Residents must show proof of residency at the site by providing a drivers license and a utility bill. The service is being provided to household residents only and there is no business or commercial dumping.

New this year is a shredding service that will take paper sheets and files between 8:00 a.m. and noon.

Items such as the following can be dropped off at the waste site at no charge: sofa beds, couches, tables, chairs, mattresses, box springs, patio furniture, grass clippings, tree trimming, branches, washing machines, dryers, refrigerators, stoves, water heaters, dishwashers, televisions, computers, laptops, printers, microwaves, copiers, and fax machines.

Items that will not be accepted are: tires, car parts, household hazardous waste, construction materials. For more information contact City Hall at 951.244.2955, option 0.
