Mermaids club wants pirates, mermaids for parade

Mermaids of Canyon Lake, a local organization dedicated to promoting mermaid-themed activities and events, is inviting community members to join them as they participate in tomorrow’s Fiesta Hopper Parade.

In order to make the parade even more enchanting, the club is seeking volunteers who are willing to dress up as pirates or mermaids and ride alongside them with their kids or grandkids.

To become part of this magical experience, interested individuals should reach out to Karen Doherty at ladydoherty@yahoo.com. Karen will provide further details and coordinate the participation of volunteers in the parade.

In addition to the parade, Mermaids of Canyon Lake will also be hosting a booth at the Canyon Lake Lodge tomorrow from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Visitors are welcome to drop by and say hello during this time.

Exciting activities await those who visit the booth, including a chance to spin the wheel for an opportunity to win a treasure.

Furthermore, the organization will be accepting donations and welcoming new members.

For those interested in supporting the club’s cause, there will be a special price available for purchasing tickets to their upcoming fundraiser, the Mermaid Tea.
