CL Firefighters to hold golf cart show

The non-profit Canyon Lake Firefighters Association is looking for participants in its premier Canyon Lake Golf Cart Show June 10 in the Canyon Lake Town Center from noon until 4:00 p.m. The fundraiser will also include games, prizes and a food truck.

Those interested in participating in the cart show can signup via email (events@canyonlakefirefighters.com). The cost to enter is $10 prior to the event and $20 on the day of the event.

Canyon Lakers are encouraged to bring their custom cart, “ugly, pretty, big or small.” Trophies will be awarded to the Best in Show and to People’s Choice.

The Canyon Lake Firefighters Association organized about a year ago and, according to its mission statement, is an organization of fire service professionals with a goal is to ensure the protection of its members, while simultaneously providing support and fellowship to various charities, non-profit groups, and other vested agencies within the city of Canyon Lake.

Its vision is to work closely within the community, ensuring the continued support and endearment of the citizens and visitors while prioritizing its members’ health and protection through competitive wages, benefits, and working conditions.
