Library offers more than just books

The Canyon Lake Library hosts many activities the community may not think are likely library events.

The month of May includes activities such as reading to the animals, where children can read to a pet therapy dog. The event has kids reading to Luna, a therapy dog, to help shy children come out of their shell. Luna and her brother Comet are available to read to, but time slots must be reserved. Tales for Tails takes place Monday at 3:00 p.m. Time slots can be reserved at rivlib.libcal.com/event/10048816.

Many other great activities take place in May such as D & D for kids ages 7 – 12, knitting & crocheting club, college essay and prep classes, toddler story time, homework help, book clubs for both children and adults, and board game day for kids.
