In Memoriam: Kenneth D. Stark

Kenneth D. Stark of Canyon Lake, California passed away at the age of 94 on April 25, 2023. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Kenneth was born on April 13, 1929 in Breckenridge, TX to Aubrey and Bernice Stark. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1946, and served in both Japan and Korea. Shortly after discharge from the Air Force, he met and married the love of his life, Blanche. They were married 73 years.

Ken spent 35 years in home construction, which afforded him opportunities to travel the world. In his retirement years, he joined The Canyon Lake Road Runners and continued to travel the United States with his wife in their motorhome.

Ken had a passion for golfing, gardening, fishing and fixing things. He was a part of many clubs in Canyon Lake including the Canyon Lake Men’s Golf Club, the Canyon Lake Travel Club, and the Golf Club’s Tuesday Work Group, which he was a part of for 30 years. He had a lively spirit and was known to always share his home-grown tomatoes, lemons and oranges with his neighbors and the community.

Ken is preceded in death by his daughter Bonnie Jean. He is survived by his wife Blanche, son Alan, grandchildren Todd Chisum, Ryan Stark, Tammy Ramos and six great grandchildren, Matthew, Luke, Logan, Noel, Leighton and Abigail.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Canyon Lake Country Club Patio, Saturday June 3 at 4:30 p.m. Friends are welcome to attend.
