Car Club asking for your jars of peanut butter

The Canyon Lake Car Club wants jars of peanut butter brought to its car show that it will be hosting at Sierra Park during Fiesta Hopper on May 27.

The club is asking for the peanut butter donations so it can give them to the “Jars of Love” charity in conjunction with Helping Hands. More than 200 jars were donated last year and the Car Club hopes to donate even more this year.

Helping Hands will have a booth at Sierra Park to drop off donations and learn more about the organization. One of the most requested items for the food pantry at Helping Hands is peanut butter. It is a great protein, has a long shelf life and is loved by folks in need, Helping Hands leaders said.

The Car Club and Helping Hands thank the community for all of the support, and look forward to seeing everybody at the Fiesta Hopper event.
