CL Fire Department Open House tomorrow

Canyon Lake residents and guests are being invited to join the Canyon Lake Fire Department tomorrow (Saturday) between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., for the department’s second annual Open House of its Station 1 on Vacation Drive.

The open house will include engine tours, live demonstrations, a face painter, a balloon artist and much more. Food will be provided by CLAMS.

Children are encouraged to take pictures with Sparky the Dog.

Firefighter gear will be provided for the children to try on as well. Those attending will be able to meet their local firefighters and gain some valuable insight and information on how the fire department keeps the community safe.

Participants included in the event will be the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, American Medical Response, The Canyon Lake Emergency Preparedness Committee, Canyon Lake Lions Club and BLM.

The fire department encourages the community to bring their families to join in on the exclusive look at how Station 1 operates.

“The Canyon Lake Fire Department is looking forward to this opportunity to welcome the community while sharing the exclusive look at the operations,” Fire Captain Tim O’Marra said. “We are thrilled to showcase the progress we’ve made in our first year as an established organization. We invite you, your family, and friends to join us in celebrating our City’s Fire Department together.”
