Blossoms bring beauty

Happy Friday to all of you Canyon Lakers. I hope this is a great weekend and you find something that brightens the next couple of days for you.

I was out and about this last weekend and the sun made me so happy. I guess I didn’t realize how much a little Vitamin D could do for me. How about you? Were you able to get out and grab some nourishment from the sun? Did you enjoy some of the many activities that happened here in the lake?

I had a full weekend and I needed it. I have a tendency to work and sometimes forget to play. I like to blame that on my mother. “If you got a job to do, just do it,” she would say. This weekend I was able to do both.

I enjoyed being out on the boat with some really great peeps. They made me laugh and I enjoyed some great conversations, too. I was also working while on the boat, but it didn’t feel like work. I was enjoying the Canyon Lake Yacht Club‘s “Opening Day of Boating Season.”

While out on the lake, I looked around and to be honest I was a little breathless. It wasn’t because I was sitting next to the hunk next to me, but because the snow-capped mountains just popped out at me, with the lake and all the boats in front of it. Ahhh, I was mesmerized.

We drove around on the boat and then I saw the most beautiful hills that were lit up with wildflowers. My picture doesn’t do it justice. It made me think of how important it is for us to get nourished, nurtured and enjoy the sun so we can blossom. So we can light up.

“Let us be grateful to the people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.” – Marcel Proust.

Finding balance between work, family, friends and fun isn’t easy, but sometimes it‘s just what the doctor ordered. A little Vitamin D sure helps…with all the clouds so far this year, I am sure a lot of us are deprived of that lately.

Canyon Lakers love to play. With all the rain we’ve had, I am sure you all can’t wait for a string of sunny days here in paradise.
