Chamber holds annual membership meeting

The Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce held its Annual Membership Meeting last week at the Canyon Lake Country Club’s Magnolia Room.

The meeting was led by Chamber President John Grande. John talked about the vision for the chamber in the upcoming year.

Being a chamber member entitles members to join the member-only events and gives members a discount to the events that are open to the public, he said. Chamber memberships support the local businesses by allowing the chamber to put on events for the community, which bring local businesses and the community together.

Upcoming Chamber of Commerce events include the First Annual Pub Crawl on April 29. The next monthly business round table meeting will be held on May 3 at 6:30 a.m. at the Canyon Lake Country Club. This is a members only event.

“I joined thc chamber because I believe that as a resident business owner, it is important to support local organizations that are designed to support businesses through education and networking.” Sai Nonthavong, one of the chamber‘s newest board members, said. “The goal of this chamber is to bring businesses together through events and be a collective voice that businesses can come to, to help them thrive.”

In addition to chamber members, those from the City of Canyon Lake City Council attended the meeting, including Mayor Jeremy Smith, Mayor Pro Tem Dale Welty, and council members Jennifer Dain and Mark Terry.
