Putting their focus on green – their attire not the putting surface – the Canyon Lake 9ers Women’s Golf Club hammed it up as they dressed up for their annual St. Patrick’s Day tournament last week.
After the nine-hole tournament, the participants made it to the club house to hand out awards and feast on what they said was an amazing corned beef and cabbage lunch provided by the Canyon Lake Golf Club Restaurant. The best costume out of the barrage of festive attire was won by Joanne Stribling.
The green-themed event produced some golf, too.
The top honors of 1st place went to the foursome of Alice Giambra, Barbie Spencer, Beth Trinkaus, and Diane Faris. The 2nd place award was won by Linda Kielty, Nancy Tice, Sandy Dawson, and Teresa Roberson.
The Closest to the Blarney Stone on Hole 4 was won by Lesa Gallagher.
