Letter: Ken Cable

Editor, The Friday Flyer:

My brother Ken Cable has moved from his Canyon Lake home (which he still owns) to a rest home in Winchester. I wanted you and the residents of Canyon Lake, where he has lived for so very many years, to know what is going on with him. He turned 91 on Jan. 26. Two days before his birthday, he fell ill and his son Jeff Cable took him to the hospital.

From there, after a few days, he was taken to the rest home. I live in Surprise, AZ. I communicate daily with his sons Jeff and Mark Cable.

My brother has written four books, was in the military, worked through the ranks of the Sheriff‘s Department to become Chief Ken Cable and after retirement taught at the Los Angeles Sheriff‘s Academy.

To say I‘m proud of my brother is an understatement.

Ken and his wife Dorothy lived in Canyon Lake since the early 1970s. Dorothy passed away several years ago. He has written many articles and columns for The Friday Flyer over the years. Please pray for him.
