Mayor Smith lists his New Year’s Resolutions

Jeremy Smith was recently reappointed the City of Canyon Lake mayor by his fellow city council members and he’s hitting the ground running for 2023. On Day 1, he’s sharing his New Year’s Resolutions with the community he serves.

Jeremy is quick to point out that he is not only Canyon Lake’s mayor, but he’s a father, husband and involved Canyon Lake resident, as well. Consequently, he has resolutions for each of his responsibilities and roles.

“My resolution as a husband is to listen, always make time and continue to put my wife first,” Jeremy said. “As a father, I will continue to show my kids the importance of hard work, never be late and always put God first.”

His resolution for being a member of the community is to always look for opportunities to help others in the time of need, he said.

“As mayor of Canyon Lake, I will continue to fight for our community,” Jeremy said. “One way of fighting for our community is to cut the red tape at City Hall and to make transparency a key component for how we govern at City Hall.”
