Local Canyon Lake firefighters still looking for donated toys

The Canyon Lake Fire Department will continue to accept unwrapped toys and sports equipment to donate to the Spark of Love Toy Drive until Sunday, Christmas Day.

The Canyon Lake Fire Department is excited to participate in the toy drive as The Canyon Lake Fire Department, Chief Jeff LaTendresse said.

“Riverside County Cal Fire, who previously protected Canyon Lake, is a huge supporter of the campaign and has been from the beginning,” the fire chief said. “We are happy to be continuing that support as a new agency.”

Toys and sports equipment such as balls, skateboards and tennis rackets are not required to have a box or package.

“We prefer not to receive stuffed animals, clothing, personal care items or blankets,” Jeff said.

Donations can be dropped off in the Sparks of Love Toy Drive Bins outside the Fire Station on Vacation Drive.
