Letters to Santa must be received by Sunday

The Canyon Lake Family Matters Club is nearing the end of its 9th Annual Santa Letter Event. All letters must be received by Sunday.

The elves are working hard helping Santa get the letters written to all the children who drop off a letter at the Santa Mailbox located at 29873 Mayflower Dr.

Children, 18 and younger, who drop off their letters by Sunday will receive a letter back from Santa with a special reindeer treat to leave out on Christmas Eve.

“The elves will do their very best to make sure to fulfill an item on the wish list from the children,” club founder Shawna Bowen said. “However, sometimes Santa cannot make some of the items on the list. In that case, the elves will choose something age appropriate for the child.”

Submitting letters is open to all children regardless of where they live, and they will each receive a response and reindeer treat. However, only the children who live in Canyon Lake will have a gift delivered to their doorstep, Shawna said.
