Holiday Home Tour attracts hundreds to event

The Canyon Lake Woman’s Club happily brought back its Holiday Home Tour after not being able to hold one because of the recent pandemic. Hundreds of residents toured the five homes, then enjoyed shopping with many of the vendors on hand at the Canyon Lake Lodge.

The home tour on Saturday was from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with each home having a steady flow of visitors throughout the day.

The Woman’s Club also held a raffle for various trees, centerpieces and wreaths the club members made. Each piece had a minimum value of $200.00.

Money from the event will go to help the club’s philanthropy endeavors.

The homes on the Holiday Home Tour were Sandy Varsharchi’s home at 30430 Sea Horse Circle, John and Erin Waite’s home at 22238 Whirlaway Ct., Brett and Sue Law’s home at 30394 Point Marina, Henry and Beth Parks’ home at 30369 Longhorn Drive and Josh and Patty Easterly’s home at 30475 Sea Horse Circle.

“Thank you to the home tour committee for all its hard work,” Woman’s Club President Shawna Bowen said. “It’s having everyone come together like this that makes the club so successful.”

Refreshments served at the event were provided by club members.

“Thank you everyone who took the time to bake cookies for the home tour,” Donna Lovejoy said. “The club members made my job so much easier because of the support they gave me with baking and donating so many cookies.”

The club’s next event will be the Bunc-ho-ho-ho.
