CL fire station all lit up

The Mermaids of Canyon Lake decided to dress up the new Canyon Lake Fire Department’s Fire Station 1 for the holidays by donating Christmas lights to go around the huge doors at the station.

Some of the club’s board members, along with the firefighters on duty, hung the lights and then lit up the fire station with the new lights.

“We wanted to give back to our community and as part of our mission statement, we chose the fire station as one of our recipients this year,” Kathy Ray said. “The board had suggested a Santa suit, but after talking with Chief Jeff LaTendresse and the captains, they mentioned they didn’t need a Santa suit, but Holiday Lights would be much appreciated.”

It was then determined to purchase the lights for the Canyon Lake Fire Station.

Board members Kathy Ray, Brenda Lees, Nicole Taylor, and Nicole‘s husband Jeff did all the shopping for the lights and coordinated with the fire station to have the lights put up.
