Street Carts Toy Drive & Christmas Parade Dec. 4

The 12th Annual Street Carts Toy Drive & Christmas Parade is inviting Canyon Lakers with golf carts to join them in this unique holiday event on Dec. 4. Not only is the parade a unique and festive event where carts are decorated for the holiday parade, but toys are donated to be distributed to kids in need at Christmas.

The parade lineup will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Blue Bird Drive and the parade will start at approximately 5:00 p.m. from Blue Bird Drive and will head down Canyon Lake Drive to Eastport Park. Awards will be presented for the best-decorated carts in Best Lights, Best Theme and Most Outrageous categories.

Residents are encouraged to head over to Eastport to view all the carts, see the awards presented and enjoy food provided by the following vendors: Cali Grub, Baja Dogs, and California Street Food.

Participants are asked to donate an unwrapped toy. Donations are collected at the start of the parade. The Street Carts of Canyon Lake will donate toys to International Christian Adoptions and Victory Calvary Chapel.

There will also be a toy drop off at event organizer Mike Shroyer‘s home, 22055 Mustang Court, from now through Dec. 15. Toys can also be dropped off at Eastport Park at the end of the parade.

Participants must complete and return the Toy Drive & Parade Waiver. Waivers can be returned in person the day of the event at the formation line-up at Blue Bird Hall.

Due to the event being in the evening, and for the safety of the spectators and participants, there will be no distributing of any items such as candy or promotional items on the parade route.

Canyon Lake residents may stand or place chairs next to the curb on Canyon Lake Drive South/North.

The Canyon Lake POA reminds residents to be mindful that it will be dark out and to be sure to keep children out of the traffic and buffer lanes and close to a responsible adult.
