CLAMS eat, dance at Country in the Park event

The Canyon Lake Association of Men ate, played and danced the night away at a good old-fashioned Country in the Park BBQ and Dance.

After filling up on BBQ, the group took to the dance floor outside at Holiday Harbor Park to the music of Mark Huston and the Working Men. Young and old danced to the country music and dressed in their best cowboy hats and western attire for the event.

CLAMS is one of the oldest clubs in Canyon Lake. It started way back in March of 1973 and has been holding monthly meetings ever since. The Canyon Lake Association of Men soon became known as CLAMS.

The members in the club work together for moral, spiritual and cultural improvements in Canyon Lake as well focusing on philanthropic services.

When the club originated in the 1970s, meetings were held at club member Billy Maxwell‘s office. Meetings would incorporate club business as well as choosing food options and programs for the next meeting.

CLAMS has followed through with its philanthropic efforts and monthly meetings for over 30 years.

CLAMS is a club open to all men in Canyon Lake who want to give back to the community. Giving back is what the club does best. Last year, CLAMS donated $9,000 to various local charities.
