James Logan passed peacefully into eternal life on Sept. 25, 2022 at the age of 81. Born Dec. 2, 1940 in Decatur, Illinois to Clive and Mary Logan, James was affectionately referred to as “Buddy” and was a stranger to no one.

James proudly served in the US Marines. After serving in the Marines, he became a man of many skilled trades and worked in construction. Prior to moving to Canyon Lake in 1987, he had lived in Huntington Beach. He was a partner, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a friend. After retirement, James and his partner of 42 years, Julia Barnes, moved to Sun City. Julia preceded James in death.

James is survived by siblings David Logan and Sharon Renfro and four daughters, Tracey Maki and husband Craig, Deborah Quantock and husband Gary, Carol Barnes and Sherri Barnes. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Sidney Huffman, Jenna Huffman, Jenel Quantock Getz, Crystal Quantock, Cullen Quantock, Caitlin Quantock, Cassie Quantock, Rachel Rudolph and Ryan Hotchkiss.
