Stewart wins September’s Cars, Coffee and Donuts

Jay Stewart took home the bragging rights for having the winning Canyon Lake Car Club’s Car of the Month with his 1972 Detomaso Pantera. Canyon Laker car enthusiasts came out to enjoy a morning of cars, coffee and some donuts at Sierra Park Saturday at the monthly Canyon Lake Car Club event.

Jay bought the Pantera four years ago in Mission Viejo and he says it was a wonderful garage find.

“I’m proud to say, the engine and the transaxle are both original to the car,” he said. “What sets this car apart from others is its mid-engine design. Just like the new Chevrolet C8 Corvette.”

Jay really enjoys driving his car through the community. He said he meets the nicest people who share his same passion for cars, both old and new.
