Library giving away backpacks for new library card signups
Free backpacks are available to those who come to the Canyon Lake Library, take their photo, and get a library card during the month of September. After obtaining the library card and posting it to the Facebook page or Instagram using #RCLSSignUp a free backpack will be awarded while supplies last.
The Riverside County Library System is looking to reach 2,022 new card sign-ups as a result of the promotion.
Meanwhile, the Canyon Lake Library has a slew of activities happening this month.
Bilingual Storytime is on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month where stories are read in both Spanish and English for the kiddos learning a second language.
A paper making workshop will be held on Sept. 10 at 10:30 a.m. This is a great way to explore the world of papermaking in this two-hour class that will be taught by David Robinson, a Hemet-based paper artist.
