2022 Concerts at the Lodge wrapping up Aug. 27

Where else can you go that’s less than five minutes from your home to enjoy a world-class concert where there is free parking, dinner in the same building as the concert prior to the show if you choose and a national recording artist live on stage in an intimate setting with brand new, high tech stage lighting and sound?

The Aug. 27 concert next weekend will feature an opening act by Andrew Cole followed by The Blasters. The show will be the final concert of the 2022 Concerts at the Lodge Series put on by the Canyon Lake POA in the Canyon Lake Holiday Bay Room at the Lodge.

The Blasters is an Americana Rock and Roll group that was formed in 1979 by brothers Phil and Dave Alvin. Their influences include Roots, Rockabilly, Rhythm n’ Blues and Rock n’ Roll.

“The Blasters are an incredible band who’s self-described American Music is a blend of Rockabilly and early Rock & Roll, Mountain Music and Country with Rhythm & Blues,” Producer Doug Schultz said. “It’s Creedence meets The Clash. Their sons have been featured on national prime time television shows, HBO, Showtime series, Hollywood movies and Playstation 2. They are known for their dynamic high energy live performances.”

Tickets are on sale now at www.canyonlakepoa.com. To purchase the tickets navigate to Community/Events/Concerts at the Lodge. General admission is $29.00 each and VIP is $49.00 each.

“Music touches Canyon Lake residents emotionally where words can’t,” Doug said. “I have been a concert producer for over 35 years and if it weren’t for live music, I wouldn’t be who I am. For me and for most people whom I speak with, I know live music keeps my mind off the cloud of today’s reality. The Canyon Lake ‘Concerts at the Lodge’ is where the real artist performs.”

The concert doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.
