Youth to put on Shrek the Musical next month

Grab your tickets now for Canyon Lake Community Theatre’s Shrek the Musical set for the stage Aug. 5-7.

Members of the cast have been busy rehearsing and they are looking forward to putting on their first full-scale production since Beauty and the Beast back in the fall of 2019.

Costumes have been ordered, props are being constructed and there is tons of behind-the-scenes action happening as the group gets ready to present this musical production at Elsinore High School in Wildomar.

“I’m so glad the community theatre is continuing to move forward with productions,” Bobby Swan, one of the cast members, said.

“It’s been a long few years without activity.”

The theatre group is eager to have the shows well attended and is already looking forward to being able to present more shows to the community.

Tickets for Shrek the Musical can be purchased online at www.clctheatre.com. There will be four shows over the three days of the performances.

The first show will take the stage on Aug. 5 at 7:00 p.m., followed by two shows on Aug. 6 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. before closing out on Aug. 7 at 2:00 p.m.
