Equestrian Club members hold evening of fun play

Good old-fashioned horse games and friendly competition were the talk of the Canyon Lake Equestrian Center Friday evening as kids and adults had loads of fun with their informal competitions and games.

The four-hour event spotlighted the horses as their riders showed them off with their skills. Competitive rodeo or races of any kind were not on the event list, just a night to get the horses out to play while club members enjoyed their fun time via horseback.

There was some jumping, some dollar bills under the booty trots, even an eggs and spoon game, along with some other fun activities including stick horses. All participants received equal cheering and applause from the spectators.

Results of the various contests were:

Leadline: Rachel Billheimer on Archie, 1st Cora Schwartz on Noel and Abby Eichorst on Gigi.

Walk Trot Pattern: 1st, Emily Eichorst on Noel, 2nd Keira Ruppert on Zanna and 3rd, Jayson Stubbs on Noel.

Walk Trot Center: 1st, Isabella Pepperizzi on Evert, 2nd Taylor Schoessow on April and 3rd, Addison Portillo on Gigi.

Hunter Hack: 1st, Isabella Pepperizzi on Dylan, 2nd Taylor Schoessow on April, 3rd Kyla Easterly on Bugsy Boy.

Hunters: 1st, Isabella Pepperizzi, jumping, 2nd, Charlotte Moore, jumping cross, 3rd, Kyla Easterly, jumping 2’6” on Bugsy Boy.
