Canyon Lake skies light up

Thousands flocked to beaches, docks, boats and driveways Monday and were treated to a massive Independence Day Fireworks Show by the Canyon Lake POA. Fireworks lit the sky with synchronized music playing on radios throughout the community.

The fireworks display was the culminating event after a perfect-weather long weekend created a holiday filled with water sports and barbecues.

Canyon Lakers and their guests hit the beaches and the lake for long days of swimming, sunbathing and boating before the Monday night fireworks show began.The fireworks were launched from Skipper’s Island.

From the Lodge patio area, Mike Shroyer of Good Time Entertainment played music on July 4th until just before the fireworks began.
