In Memoriam: Nancy Pease

Nancy Pease, a long-time Canyon Lake resident, was one of the Lord’s angels on this earth. She was born to Nick and Doris Nickell on Dec. 5, 1949. She rested in peace on June 18, 2022, after a 12-year battle with cancer.

Nancy Pease. (December 5, 1949 – June 18, 2022)

Nancy grew up in Woodland Hills, Calif. and graduated from Taft High School. It was there that she met and eventually married the love of her life, Steve Pease. Together they created not only a family, but a love story that many admired. They gave birth to two children, Karen and Stephen.

Nancy was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Her nickname was “Nancy the Good” because she never failed to have compassion and patience for all those around her.

She was a testimony to Philippians 2:3-4: “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking into your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.” Nancy showed all of us how to be a better person as she always found the good in people.

Nancy is survived by those who will always love her, her husband of 54 years, Steve, daughter and son-in-law Karen and Jesse, son and daughter-in-law Stephen and Alyssa, her grandchildren, Kaden, Hayley, Scarlett and Tre, and her siblings, Linda, and Gary.

Private funeral services will be for family only and a few selected close friends and will take place on July 11, at Eternal Hills Memorial Park. Please consider a small donation to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
