Blood Moon

The dramatic blood moon which popped up over Canyon Lake Sunday night was the result of a rare total moon eclipse. After a total lunar eclipse that saw the sun, Earth and moon form a straight line in the night Canyon Lake sky, the moon appeared to turn red, hence the “blood moon.”
