Canyon Lake Library celebrates Earth Day

Canyon Lake Library Manager Kim Pike helped her little patrons make paper clay in celebration of Earth Day Friday at the library.

The children at the library used a mason jar and added shredded paper and other ingredients to make their non-toxic paper clay.

Afterward, the participants sat for some story time and interactive activities.

Little Luna Perez, 4, proudly showed off her clay, while Orion Tillman, 5, shared his clay while making sure to mention he made two new friends at the Library’s Earth Day.

The children were playing and interacting with each other during the activities. After a little “hide and seek” in the meeting room of the library, the kids played interactive games and gadgets brought in by Typhanie Sharfner of Mentoring Tiny Humans.
