May Cancer Fair to include Cancer Walk

The Mermaids of Canyon Lake and the Veterans and First Responders Group are partnering together to help host a Cancer Walk during the inaugural Canyon Lake Cancer Fair May 14.

The 1.2-mile walk for cancer will start at Holiday Harbor at 10:10 a.m.  There will be a hydration station at the Wright residence on the corner of Sparkle and Canyon Lake Drive. The walk will make a round trip and conclude at Holiday Harbor.

The Canyon Lake Family Matters Club has also partnered with the Veterans and First Responders Group to help host a Kids Corner at the Cancer Fair. The Family Matters Club will be at the fair from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. entertaining children with crafts, face painting, magic and more.

Michelle‘s Place Cancer Resource Center in Temecula is another partner of the Veterans and First Responders Group and will help host the Cancer Fair.

The Michelle‘s Place mission is to empower individuals and families impacted by cancer through education and support services. It has arranged a Prevention Area and an area with cancer-related vendors. The booths will have resources for all types of cancers, for both men and women.
