1966 Ford Fairlane GT wins Car of Month

James Spaulding’s 1966 Ford Fairlane GT Convertible was chosen as the Canyon Lake Car Club’s Car of the Month for March at the monthly event at Sierra Park.

“I had the same car in high school, only in a hardtop,” James said. “It took 45 years, but I found my car, just in a convertible. I found  my car in a 1960’s themed museum.”

He said it was for sale and after some negotiations, he purchased it, cleaned it up and did some minor changes and now, “I’m living my good ol’ days all over again.”

The Canyon Lake Car Club’s Car of the Month event takes place monthly with its traditional coffee and donuts. Classic cars will be on display and the show is open to not only Canyon Lake Car Club members, but all who would like to bring their vehicle to put on display.
