Letter: Canyon Lake Optometry office to the rescue

Last Saturday started out to be a perfect day until my puppy got a hold of my very expensive prescription eyeglasses. I was uncertain what to do, so I called my optometrist who is located in San Diego. He informed me that they couldn’t help me until Tuesday of the upcoming week.

The optometrist office suggested calling a local optometry office, so I contacted Canyon Lake Optometry and spoke with Hilda Licea. She explained to me that they could not guarantee that they could fix my glasses and, in fact, she warned me that they could break even more. I was desperate to try anything since I didn’t have any extra spare pairs of glasses. I need them for everything.

I went into the office where I met Hilda and Karen McCawley, the optician. They took my glasses and told me they weren’t very hopeful, but they would try.

About 20 minutes later, Karen came out with glasses in hand and although they weren’t perfect, they functioned and I was thrilled.

I am so grateful for this staff and their ability and willingness to fix my glasses. I recommend them to everyone and they’re right here in the Canyon Lake Town Center.
