TWG ensures safety on the golf course

The Tuesday Work Group works hard every week to ensure, not only the safety of the golf course, but the cleanliness of it. The group also ventures out and about throughout the community when asked to do so.

The volunteers in the Tuesday Work Group work closely with the Canyon Lake POA Operations Department, however, the group is totally voluntary and is not compensated for its work. The group itself sometimes receives donations from various Canyon Lake clubs from time to time to help fund some of its projects. The group recently received a $500 donation from the CLAMS.

Bob Sanchez and Hugh Wagner work on cutting off old rusty damaged railing prior to replacing it.

This past week, the TWG could be seen throughout the course reseeding little sections of the course, cleaning up weeds and putting new safety rails on the bridge between Holes 10 and 18. The project will take at least another week to complete.

Bob Sanchez, Hugh Wagner and Joe Espinoza, along with other members of the group, made sure they had a game plan in place to get the project started, completed and most importantly, to make sure all safety precautions were in place for this project.

New rails will be installed on the bridge, which is a time-consuming task. The men cut off the old railings and then welded on the new railings. The group made sure to secure the conduits. Safety measures will be in place until the project is completed.

The Tuesday Work Group has been helping keep the Canyon Lake Golf Course well maintained for decades. The course is generally considered one of the best-maintained courses in the area.
