Police encourage Super Bowl designated driver

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department – Lake Elsinore Station, which provides police services for the City of Canyon Lake, is reminding football fans to stick to the “go safely” game plan and designate a sober driver for those who plan on drinking at a Super Bowl LVI watch party.

“The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department reminds the public that alcohol is not the only substance that impairs,” Sergeant Brad Foster of the department said. “Marijuana, prescription drugs, and over-the-counter medications can all affect your ability to drive safely. Doyour research and understand the potential side effects of certain drugs.”
