CLAMS donate to support golf course work group

One of the Canyon Lake Association of Men’s main purposes is to raise money through various events it sponsors in order to give back to the community by donating to its various clubs, charities and organizations.

The CLAMS donated $500 to the Canyon Lake Tuesday Work Group Monday night as part of this philanthropic endeavor. The Tuesday Work Group volunteers labor on golf course projects and maintenance.

“The CLAMS are proud to help support the hard-working men and women of the Tuesday Work Group,” CLAMS Vice-President Mark Inkrote said. “The CLAMS find it important to help support both the clubs and businesses in the Canyon Lake community. We continue with our philanthropic ways supporting those organizations who share in our philosophy of helping those in need.”

Club President Harry Larson said the CLAMS hold various functions throughout the year and take the funds raised and give it to those in need in Canyon Lake. He said they have given funds recently to the city to help support its events, to the Veterans, a nearby nursing home and the Loma Linda Children’s Cancer Ward in Riverside.

For those interested in joining the CLAMS, the club holds a monthly dinner meeting on the third Wednesday of each month at the Country Club. It’s next meeting is Feb. 16. Membership is $35.00 for the year.
