Chamber of Commerce honors Patriotic Arms

As a benefit of membership, The Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce will name a monthly Business of the Month beginning this month. The first to be awarded is the January Business of the Month’s Patriotic Arms, the chamber announced recently.

The Board of Directors voted on the winner of the award and said Patriotic Arms was its choice because of its enthusiastic support of the Chamber’s Parade of Frights event along with its long-term involvement in the community.

“It is an honor to be recognized by our community,” Patriotic Arms said. “We decided to join the Chamber of Commerce to be able to connect with our community and to give back. Thank you very much for the recognition. We are extremely grateful. We will continue to give back to our community as much as we can.”

To be eligible for the monthly award, businesses must be a Business Access Plus member of the chamber. The Chamber of Commerce will also name a Business of the Year recipient each year.

“Your business needs to be involved with the chamber and be in good standing as a member,” Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce Marketing/Communications Director Kristina Rasband said. “You need to be a chamber advocate, which means being a member that publicly supports or recommends the Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce, including the benefits of belonging to the chamber to others within the community. As an advocate, you help generate positive exposure and raise awareness for the chamber through digital media or offline channels and you represent the best interest of the chamber.”

To qualify, businesses also need to sponsor chamber events and/or make donations to the chamber, volunteer at and attend chamber community and member events, she said.
