Canyon Lake senior named TCHS Student of the Month

Canyon Lake’s Jadyn Lontoc was named the female Temescal Canyon High School January Student of the Month Tuesday during a zoom ceremony of the sponsoring Lake Elsinore Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Jadyn was one of seven students who were recognized at the ceremony. The chamber of commerce honors the female and male students from the three local district high schools and the overall honoree from Ortega High School.

Jadyn received the award for not only being an excellent student (4.413 cumulative grade point average), but also for her significant involvement in school clubs and extracurricular activities.

Jadyn was both the founder and president of the Youth Initiative Coalition and participated in the Interact, HMCA and Asian Student Union.

She was the Stop AAPI Hate Youth Intern, the Project Pearls Global Ambassador, a Kythe Volunteer Leader and a Kids of Kids PH Volunteer. After graduation this June, Jadyn plans on attending a four-year university and take a pre-med track before graduating and attending medical school. She wants to eventually be a medical doctor where she can “achieve and advance health equity for all.”

Jadyn is the daughter of Joseph and Liz Lontoc of Canyon Lake.
