On this crystal-clear New Year’s Day in Canyon Lake, this lone palm shares space with a flock of pelicans on Skippers Island. After recent rains and heavy clouds, Canyon Lake has turned into the typical cool and sunny haven it’s known for this time of year. Temperatures this week will hover in the upper 60s while dropping to the mid 40s overnight.
