CL scholar receives national recognition

Canyon Lake’s Hannah Fraley, PhD, RN, CNE, CPH, has been awarded a research award for National Work Preventing Domestic Youth Trafficking Among U.S. School Kids. Hannah is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at California State University Fullerton.

Hannah was awarded the Cal State College of Health & Human Development Research Award for her national research program in prevention of domestic youth trafficking among United States school youth, youth violence and sexual risk reduction. Her program closes equity gaps for youth with disabilities who are a highest-risk group for trafficking.

Hannah also serves on the Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force and trains schools, law enforcement, prosecutors, victim services agencies, and health professionals to identify and mitigate trafficking in youth.

She serves as the appointed National Leader on the National Coalition to Prevent Child Sexual Abuse & Exploitation.

She has several publications in this area of her expertise and works with survivors of trafficking to inform prevention intervention research in the nation’s schools.
