Kayaking North

Canyon Lake kayakers Terry Kirley, above, and Alan Coffield venture out of the back water behind the North Ski Area up the San Jacinto River that feeds into the lake. Their adventure resulted in discovering what Alan described as “what literally appears like the bayous of Louisiana or some distant land.” The two said they were able to kayak about a mile north of Canyon Lake.
