Letter: Canyon Lakers show patriotism

Editor, The Friday Flyer:

I am a Vietnam Veteran who participated in the Golf Cart Parade last Thursday the 11th. I have never been so proud of our Canyon Lake community for the incredible support to our Veterans on that very special day.

One of the most memorable things we saw was a little boy standing along the curb with a handmade sign that read, “Thank you veterans for your service.”  To see adults alongside their little children was extremely touching and reflective of how proud our generations are to be so patriotic.

I was so surprised to have lunch with my wife and realize that a young family reached out to pay our tab.  So many beautiful and wonderful gestures and, wow, what a perfect day.

Thank you so very much for all your kindness! I love Canyon Lakers!!!!!
