QuarterMania at Lodge Sunday
The Canyon Lake Family Matters Club is bringing back QuarterMania, which is a cross between an auction, bingo and a raffle on Sunday at the Lodge.
Doors open at noon for check-in and shopping and the auction will begin at 1:00 p.m.
VIP tickets are just $40.00 and includes an all you can eat buffet, and all auction rounds with no use of quarters.
General Admission tickets are just $25.00 and will require the use of quarters for all rounds and no buffet will be included with this ticket option.
QuarterMania will have 30 $35.00 items and 30 $50.00 and over items. There will be a raffle table along with a silent auction table. Over 100 items will be up for grabs at this event.
More than 10 vendors will be set up in the room for people to purchase items. Some of the vendors provided raffle items and are giving a special discount to shoppers.
For those new to QuarterMania this is how this unique event works:
Everyone must have a ticket to sit and bid. There are only 100 bidder paddles and 100 chairs set up. Anyone may come and shop or watch, but the chairs are paid for by the bidders when they get their paddle.
Upon check in, each guest with a pre-sale ticket will receive a Guest Goody Bag which includes an Event Program with the listings of the vendors, auction items, raffle items, silent auction items, and a bidder paddle. Those with this paddle will still need quarters for bidding.
The general admission tickets require participants to bring quarters. Those with VIP All-In pre-sale tickets will receive paddles that come with everything that is included with the general admission ticket, plus unlimited snack bar trips, a VIP goody bag and no need to bring quarters since those with VIP paddles are prepaying to be “all in” for all rounds.
There will be two rounds. Round 1 is a Three-Quarter Round (Items have an estimated retail value of $50 or more). Round 2 is a Two-Quarter Round (Items have an estimated retail value of $30 or more)
Bidders interested in the opportunity to win a specific basket/item must deposit the quarter into a collection jar on the tables and raise their bidding paddle in the air. A random number will then be drawn from those bidding. The guest holding up that chosen number wins the basket for only two-three quarters.
Guests can increase their chances of winning by purchasing an additional paddle for $5.00. There is a limit of three paddles per person. If more than one paddle is used per round, guests must deposit a quarter for each paddle used.
Before the bidding begins, and between the two rounds, guests will be able to do shopping with vendors in the shopping area. Vendors will all have specials going on throughout the event.
The proceeds from this event will benefit the philanthropic work done by the club throughout the year.
Guests 10 years and older may participate if they have their own ticket. The club asks guests to not bring anyone under the age of 10.
The regular paddle will be $25 at the door and the VIP paddle will be $45 at the door.
In addition to all the quarter fun a silent auction table and a raffle table will be available. Tickets for the raffle will be available at the event.
